Hankerton Priory Cottage is set in the idyllic village of Hankerton, the cottage is adjacent to an old priory surrounded by beautiful gardens. Near the cottage you will find a small garden for your own use with a table and chairs under the apple tree where you can sit and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. In the grounds, there is also a beauty spa open both during the week and over the weekends called Lifestyle Health and Beauty, which has all of the up to date treatments. There is plenty of parking, and also a tennis court with racquets and balls available for use and a croquet lawn. There are many lovely walks around, interesting restaurants within walking distance and bicycles to borrow. ACCOMMODATION (All on one level) Entrance through to open plan living room. Living Area is large and spacious with large sofa, wall mounted flatscreen TV and DVD player with Freeview. There is a circular dining table and four chairs. Kitchen is simple but provides the basic facilities including two ring stove, washbasin and sink, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment along with other basics such as a kettle and toaster. The kitchen is an 'Ikea unit' so compact but versatile!! See picture. Bedroom with king size double bed (5ft) plus built in shelving and hanging hooks Bathroom with bath, power shower over, WC and washbasin Outside To the side there is a private garden with table and chairs; approx 100 yards away is a tennis court available for use. The spa is about 50 yards away, in a completely private location. Heating & Electricity incl all year. Sorry No Pets. Babes in arms / babies welcome but please note that there areno cot or highchair.Hankerton is a small Cotswold village between Malmesbury and Tetbury. Nearby Malmesbury is an historic town with a wonderful Abbey that you might wish to visit. You may also like to see the gardens tended by the celebrated naked gardeners next door! A little further, Tetbury has some wonderful antique shops and delicatessens to browse and the famous Highgrove Shop, which is well worth a visit. Within ten miles is the market town of Cirencester, which is at the heart of the Cotswolds and there are many shops and an interesting Roman museum. For water sports, one can enjoy an abundance of activities such as sailing, jet ski, kite surfing and fishing around the many lakes of the Cotswold Water Parks, a few miles away. |

Perhaps the most perfect Cotswolds town is Broadway, now a major centre for arts and antiques. Broadway is also well known for its tower, from which it is said you can see 14 counties. There’s also the beautifully preserved Chipping Campden, Bourton-on-the-Water, the “Little Venice” of the Cotswolds and Stow-on-the-Wold, perhaps the best-known of the smaller towns here. But there are countless other charming places to discover as you tour these gentle hills.
The market town of Cirencester, the “capital of the Cotswolds” boasts a very fine parish church as well as the Corinium Museum. This features a fascinating re-creation of life in Roman Britain.
